About Us

We are a group of people from all walks of life who have one thing in common, we are opposed to a government proposal to put a Geological Disposal Facility in our beautiful and peaceful countryside. None of us are seasoned campaigners, We are very much learning as we go.

We are not aligned with any political party. Each of us has our own political allegiance but we don't let that get in the way of doing the right thing. In our book, the right thing is preserving our beautiful beaches for future generations to enjoy.
When planning permission was granted for the now-demolished gas terminal, it was granted on the express condition that the land is returned to agricultural use when the gas terminal reached the end of its life. That time has come and we expect the council to make good on their promise. The proposed development breaks that promise. To add insult to injury it would also take up also offers up three times more valuable agricultural land to be concreted over. We will not let that happen.
