The people are not well enough informed to vote on GDF

When Cllr Martin Hill was asked why he was refusing to hold the referendum that he promised two years ago, he said that the people do not have enough information to make an informed decision. To understand just how preposterous that is imagine the same criteria being applied to the Brexit vote.

What would have been the reaction if David Cameron had told the nation that they couldn't have a referendum for six years because the people needed that time to become better informed?

Cllr Hill failed to disclose what information the public need, or why that information has not been forthcoming. Both East Lindsey District Council and Lincolnshire County Council seem intent on dragging this out in the forlorn hope that the people will become so ground down that they will accept it.
