As empty as a politician's promise?

On Thursday, the people of Lincolnshire went to the polls. A shockingly low turnout saw the people turn their backs on those who fought our corner. We would like to thank all of those councillors who brought about the withdrawal by East Lindsey.

I feel sure that had we returned people like Graham Cullen, Travis Hesketh and Robert Watson, they would have made sure that Martin Hill delivered on his promise to withdraw.

However, that was not to be, and the people who replaced them all promised to withdraw from the Nuclear Waste Community Partnership. However, at the first opportunity to talk to the press, there was not a single mention of the plan to take a chunk of Farmland bigger than Mablethorpe and turn it into a Nuclear Wasteland. Instead, it was all about flags, and starting a witch hunt for people who implement the council's diversity policies, such as they are.

Now, we have to wait to see if the promises made will be honoured or if the party's priorities will take precedence over what is good for the area and the people.
